La Joya Mexican Cafe is a small family run restaurant at 28 Leland Ave, San Francisco, CA 94134. This privacy policy applies to this website. If you have questions about it, email us at lajoyacafesf@gmail.com or call (415) 508-9192.
When you fill out the contact form we receive your name, email address, and the message you wrote. When you fill out the catering form we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, event date, party size, optional budget range, optional event location, and any notes you add. Our server also briefly sees the IP address each request came from so we can rate limit automated abuse. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
We use the information you send only to reply to your message, answer questions, and put together a catering quote when you ask for one. We do not send marketing emails from this site and we do not sell your information.
We keep general contact messages until the conversation is resolved, then delete them within a reasonable cleanup cycle. We keep catering inquiries for up to 24 months after the event date so we can follow up with returning customers, then delete them.
A few outside services help the site run. We share only what is needed for each one to do its job.
googtrans in your browser so the choice sticks while you browse.We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie our pages set directly is the Google Translate googtrans cookie described above, and it is only set if you use the language toggle. We also store a small flag called lajoya_lang_seen in your browser so the language hint does not pop up every visit, and a flag called lajoya_cookie_ack so the cookie notice does not reappear after you dismiss it. These are stored in your browser only and never sent to us.
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act give you the right to know what personal information we have about you, the right to ask us to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal information. You also have the right not to be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email lajoyacafesf@gmail.com from the address you used to contact us, or call (415) 508-9192. We may need to verify that the request is really coming from you before we act on it.
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may ask whether we have shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing in the past calendar year. We do not share personal information for third party direct marketing.
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the site, email us and we will delete it.
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be noted on the homepage for a short time.
